Watch out for Santa
Like Frosty the Snowhitman, Santa’s Present is a free holiday-themed horror title from MotiRay, the indie developer behind Space Game. In this short game, the protagonist prepares for the holiday season by decorating their Christmas tree during a snowy evening. Sooner or later, Santa will enter their home.
Prepare cookies and decorate your tree
In Santa’s Present, the player finds a piece of paper containing two tasks: Put Santa’s plate of cookies under the Christmas tree and adorn said tree with a star, which is inside a box. The bag of cookies is the easiest item to find since it’s on the kitchen counter.
Contrary to what is written on the paper, the star is not found in the box. Find the star and place it on top of the Christmas tree. Afterwards, Santa will show up at your house. Unfortunately, most players will find the ending too underwhelming.
A short title with an underwhelming ending
Overall, Santa’s Present is a short game made to add a hint of terror to the otherwise festive holiday season. In terms of gameplay, it doesn’t offer much since you only need to complete two tasks. However, the ending could have been more impactful.
